The Usher Ministry mission is to become God’s door servants by submitting to His will and His appointed leaders. To enhance the worship experience of those attending, maintain order within a flexible and welcoming atmosphere, to be highly attentive to the needs of those around us, and embody Christ-like hospitality. With good doing service, as to the Lord, and not to men. Ephesians 6:7

An usher is a doorkeeper whose ministry is to maintain order and direction at all times during the worship service. Ushers greet members and visitors with a pleasant smile and warm welcome. Assist members and visitors with seating and to ensure their comfort while in the house of the Lord. Introduces visitors to the church by having them sign a visitor’s card and ensures each member and visitor receives the church bulletin and all necessary envelopes.

Psalms 84:10 For a day in thy courts is better than a thousand. I had rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God, than to dwell in the tents of wickedness.

A Christian Hospitality Ministry is the building up of God’s church and serving the body of Christ. This ministry encourages us all to practice hospitality. Our gifts are given not for our own benefit, but for the enrichment of others. We should be serving those around us, including the body of believers, family, and friends. Distributing to the necessity of the saints; given to hospitality. Romans 12:13 – KJV

The Gladys R. Dillard Hospitality Ministry serves at funeral repasts and other church functions when a meal is provided. Assists in the set-up, clean-up, decorating the space, and working closely with the kitchen committee. We should be quick to give a meal to the hungry, a bed to the homeless, be generous with the different things God has given us. Most of all, love each other as if your life depended on it. 1 Peter 4:8 - NIV

Hebrews 13:1-2 (NIV) Let mutual love continue. Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for doing that some have entertained angels without knowing it.

Chairperson Bro. Kenneth Connor

The Nurses’ Ministry endeavors to teach from the bible that man’s physical powers are a sacred endowment. That his body belongs to God, that it was formed in His image, that the Creator will hold man responsible for its care and development. “A good nurse is God’s love on display.”

This ministry is a physical healing ministry of Jesus Christ that provides nursing care to church members and visitors who become ill during worship service. The very essence of the Gospel of Christ is restoration, not only for the mental and spiritual, but also the physical man.
